Kelsey Black represents companies and individuals in complex commercial litigation and construction disputes. Additionally, she has significant experience and involvement in injury, death and catastrophic property damage cases, in which she primarily defends some of the country’s largest corporations.
Kelsey began law practice in Boston, Massachusetts in 2007 with a firm of highly regarded trial lawyers. She moved to South Florida in January 2010 and joined the trial practice for a large, international law firm. For most of her tenure at these two firms, Kelsey litigated complex commercial litigation and catastrophic injury and death cases throughout the east coast of the United States. In February 2013, Kelsey and her former partner started a new practice Black Law P.A. f/k/a Waterway Black P.A. that emphasizes results, responsiveness, and value, leveraged by technology.
Kelsey became of counsel for Jonathan P. Cohen P.A. on select matters in 2016. Black Law P.A. and Jonathan P. Cohen P.A.’s synergy and collaboration has mutually benefited both firms and their clients.

Kelsey has a family of four with two young daughters. She is an avid scuba diver, and despite her somewhat dorky love of the law, she’d still prefer to talk you about diving or travel or her family. In past life that seems like eons ago, Kelsey was a scuba instructor in the Caribbean.
